Copy these (zipped) files onto a shared folder on your
network. Why do this? Because you don't have to go to their
computer to install it with the setup program and you can pass the
server name, license key, and other information as command line
parameters. There are lots of ways
to do this with logon scripts,
too. You can then place a shortcut to the program Lynx.cmd into a
START folder or you can place this batch file into their User Profile to
install LynxMessenger programmatically.
You can then install LynxMessenger with one command:
\\sharedrive\Lynx NAME SERVER SERIALNUMBER LISTENPORT
Where:
- NAME is the PCName property you wish to name this machine to.
- SERVER is the name or IP address of the server (lynx.mitsi.com)
- SERIALNUMBER is the license key/equipment ID as authorized in
/Admin panel
- LISTENPORT is the back channel to the Lynx Messenger program
