LynxCOM pro consists of two programs:
a foreground program that is available in the task tray, and a
background service called 'Lynxservice'. The foreground
control panel allows you to make changes, while the service does all the
work. You can close the control panel, and the Lynx service
will continue to run.

You can manually select a COM port, or select
Auto. Long, unterminated cable runs may get detected as if they
had a LynxCOM switch, due to the capacitance of the cable.
If you have a long, empty RS-232 cable run, select the manual com port. |
